U.S. Facilities and Operations:


Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


Position Summary:


The Production Aide is required to have a detailed knowledge of the assembly methods required for all products produced in their respective areas. They must be capable of assisting the supervisor in day to day operations. They must possess an overall knowledge of GMP’s and QAP’s and how they are applied to the manufacturing process. They must be able to work all shifts. Must be an effective communicator and must promote and enforce company policies, goals, and objectives.


Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Successfully print labels, release and completes label reconciliation for bulk pack
  • Create work orders
  • Set up/ maintain filing systems
  • Support emergency evacuations
  • Understand the difference between acceptable/unacceptable parts.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept in an orderly fashion
  • Be proficient at performing and administering all necessary SAP Transactions within the respected areas
  • Conduct verification of set-ups and operational parameters for manufacturing equipment and input
  • Initiate change forms for corrections to set-ups. Follow and ensure that all changes have been completed on a timely basis
  • Ability to train general manufacturing associates on various manufacturing processes
  • Clerical/administrative duties as assigned

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic SAP: MB51- Material Document List, MB1A - Goods Issued, Transfer of Stock in Plant, CO02 - Back Flush, CO11 – Confirmation, CO12 - Cancel Confirmation, ZPP14 - Shipping labels
  • SDWT /HPWT Training – basic concepts
  • Intro to B. Braun, Intro to Safety, Intro to Quality, SDWT I
  • Understand process and material flow with in BU
  • Intro to manufacturing
  • Core Manufacturing Competencies
  • Blueprint reading (Product)
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Company and Job specific procedures


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 to 24 months of manufacturing and/or admin related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienc


  • Basic SAP

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
