U.S. Facilities and Operations:


Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


Position Summary:


This position is an entry level craftsperson that also functions as a production technician. Operate and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems for PIC and Titan Fillers.


Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform and oversee the standard work for manufacturing processes.
  • Work with the Manufacturing Lead and management to establish, implement, maintain, and enhance the standard work in the area.
  • Conduct training for operators on standard work and trouble-shooting techniques, and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
  • Follow and ensure adherence to cGMP's.
  • Contribute and participate in continuous improvement programs including 20/80 board, 5S, Tiean Suggestions, and Kaizen events.
  • Participate in the daily shift startup meeting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve line mechanical and electrical stoppages
  • Perform preventive maintenance per assigned floor competencies
  • During machine downtime, assist higher level mechanic and/or engineers on maintenance activities.
  • Perform visual and functional tests on the product.
  • Monitor production quality and take action according to the standard work / SOP.
  • Perform equipment setup and adjustment
  • Perform line clearance per SOP
  • Complete appropriate documentation including batch records, log books, PM and DM as required, following good documentation practices.
  • Perform cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting of designated areas.
  • Maintain work area to the 5S standard.
  • Adhere to all safety and good housekeeping regulations.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and effectively communicate job related information in English.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel, and the ability to send/receive email.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, cGMP's, and OSHA regulations.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



  • Minimum Electro Mechanical Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must be able to meet entry level craftsperson requirements and receive successful technical skills assessment results.


  • 4 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment with automated production assembly.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
