    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    Under the direction of the Assets and Inventory Manager, set up systems for the tracking of key performance indicators, manage inventory schedules to maintain optimum inventory levels and ensure an uninterrupted supply. Main responsibilities for assigned inventory include review of daily inventory and asset requests, issuance of daily inventory schedules, follow up on timely product releases and manage inventory availability. Focus should also be on the dollar value of asset inventories with intent to minimize investment.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties:

    • Responsible for maintaining weekly and monthly schedules, inventory and sales reports.
    • Manage daily, weekly and monthly inventory schedules to ensure optimum inventory levels and maximize equipment and resource utilization.
    • Manage daily inventory schedules and change as needed to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals.
    • Work with support groups to ensure timely release of inventory needed for surgery cases.
    • Work with support groups (Quality Control, Purchasing and Cost Accounting) on new product developments.
    • Stay abreast of market trends that may affect inventory requirements or result in capacity constraints for responsible assets.
    • Attend weekly scheduling meeting to communicate needs and resolve issues pertaining to upcoming scheduling requirements.
    • Communicate changes to forecasts or inventory requirements to Asset and Inventory Manager on a timely basis.
    • Manage the annual planning process determining inventory requirements and related requirements and capacity planning.
    • Responsible for inventory from time scheduled through product return.
    • Supply release information to appropriate individuals for all short supply assets.
    • Coordinate the efforts to calculate and maintain inventory needs.
    • Prioritize returned assets as they relate to released inventory availability.
    • As necessary, meet with Supply Chain to discuss procurement/inventory issues
    • Manage asset schedule to ensure the availability of inventory.

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.   
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. 
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

     

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Logistics or Engineering.
    • 3-5 years of inventory management experience required.
    • Inventory control experience in an automated warehouse environment preferred.
    • APICS certification preferred
    • Working knowledge of inventory control system is required, SAP preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access is required.
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of SOP/GMP requirements.
    • Knowledge of Lean material flow, planning and scheduling preferred.
    • Ability to work independently, as a team player, and team leader.
    • Ability to motivated and energize others.
    • Effective Communicator.
    • Ability to teach and train.
    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
