    U.S. Facilities and Operations:

     

    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    Installs and troubleshoots electronic controls. Provides operating software for automated systems. Installs electrical components and wiring.   

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Be able to use basic hand tools.
    • Provide accurate documentation of all work performed when required.
    • Ability to follow written or verbal instruction.
    • Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and flowcharts.
    • Understand and perform simple PM procedures.
    • Understand basic quality requirements.
    • Understand and follow S.O.P's.
    • Understand Workgroup structure and policies and interface with workgroup's.
    • Work safely and follow cGMP's.
    • Must show proficiency with electrical, pneumatics and controls skills
    • Install machine wiring as well as electronic components.
    • Be able to perform all required controls preventative maintenance and the use of electronic test equipment.
    • Understand Lotus Notes e-mail software packages.
    • Understand Basic Print Reading concepts.
    • Be able to function and interface in a SAP maintenance environment
    • Understand Basic Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
    • Be able to install and troubleshoot computer hardware.
    • Be able to install and troubleshoot Windows operating systems.
    • Show logical troubleshooting techniques.
    • Understand Basic Mechanical Concepts and be able to apply to equipment.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair PLC hardware systems.
    • Be able to perform accurate measurements.
    • Understand and apply SDWT principles.
    • Work under B.Braun safety requirements.
    • Understand Basic Plastic processing and Injection Mold Machine basics.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/upload/download software to PLC control systems.
    • Be able to layout/assemble/wire control systems from electrical schematic packages.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/upload/download software to MMI control interface systems.
    • Be able to perform maintenance on Fire Control Systems
    • Be able to perform maintenance on Security Access Systems
    • Be able to perform maintenance on Audio/Visual Systems
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/upload/download software to Motor control drives.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/upload/download software to Robot control drives.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/upload/download software to Vision control systems.
    • Travel to offsite locations to provide support for maintenance and project installations.
    • Provide off shift/weekend on call support to production facility.
    • Understand Fluid Concepts and apply to controls related projects.
    • Understand Basic HazMat procedures.
    • Understand Electrical Control Concepts(3 Phase power, Transformers,etc…).
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install/Fire System Equipment.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/install In-house Audio/PA Systems.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install Security Access Systems.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install Audio/Visual Systems.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install Vision Control Systems.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install PLC/MMI based Control Equipment.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install Motor Control Systems.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/program/install Robot Control Systems.
    • Understand basic RF Welding Concepts and System Troubleshooting.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/upload/download software to SCADA control systems.
    • Understand how to troubleshoot/repair/install Computer Control System Packages.
    • Be able to use MS Word and MS Excel .
    • Participate in machine validation procedures.
    • Understand Electronics Concepts (components, power supplies ,etc…).
    • Understand Plastic Welding techniques and processes at assigned B. Braun Facility.

    Required:

    • Minimum Electrical/Electronics Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school

     

    Desired:

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
