    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:


    The Manager, Corporate Process & Operational Excellence will plan, develop, manage the implementation of World Class Continuous Improvements in non-Manufacturing Corporate functions (R&D, Quality, Engineering, Labeling, SC, Sales & Marketing, etc). This position will manage strategic initiatives for continuous improvement that will support the OPEX Manufacturing journey throughout the BBMUS organization.  

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Manages World Class Continuous Improvement activities across the Corporate (Operation) organization.
    • Support the TX and Daytona Beach plants in implementation the OPEX strategy.
    • Implement, train and support the implementation of Value Engineering in the R&D organization.
    • Ensures consistency in use of tools and techniques by local offices and the sharing of expertise between facilities. Designs a “common approach” to implementation of initiatives.
    • Establishes, implements and tracks metrics and goals for World Class Manufacturing activities.
    • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement across the organization. Prioritizes projects based on function area’s need and business impact.
    • Performs training, including the coordination and scheduling of workshops and training vendors.
    • Establishes the qualifications and requirements for internal employee certification.
    • Researches current best practices in manufacturing support functions and evaluates their feasibility / implementation for the BBMUS organization.
    • Acts as Change Agent and Champion for the Corporate function areas
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
    • 3 - 5 years experience in Lean / BPS implementation or Project Management / Continuous Improvement in GMP / FDA regulated environment
    • 3 - 5 years management, leadership or consulting experience
    • Business travel required


    • Master’s Degree
    • Proven application experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools (i.e., VSM, level loading, SMED, DOE, PDSA, MSA, SPC, DFSS etc.)
    • Certification in a complimentary discipline such as Change Management and Change Acceleration, Deming Management Theory and Profound Knowledge
    • Experience in a corporate function
    • Earned Value Management

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
