    U.S. Facilities and Operations:

     

    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    Under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, manages the SAP System to organize, maintain and coordinate all the Maintenance activities including preventive maintenance (PM) and demand maintenance (DM). Effectively maintain the spare parts inventory system and its business processes. Support machine maintenance and reliability initiatives. 

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Process Maintenance Work Orders including opening or closing PM, DM, coordination, clarification, input, required approvals, tracking, assigning work section, scheduling mechanics and prioritization. Prepare and maintain all work orders in compliance with FDA regulations.
    • Maintains and controls parts stored in spare parts inventory room using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS): creates/edits master data in for new/existing/obsolete parts; receives and assigns/places ordered parts in designated storage locations; verifies parts inventory accuracy using methods such as planned physical and/or cycle counts; issues parts as needed to mechanics for planned and unplanned work orders; processes and closes completed work orders.
    • Provides timely delivery of spare parts to mechanics when parts are required to perform planned and unplanned machine maintenance work.
    • Maintains equipment maintenance files to store completed work orders, machine logbooks, and other equipment maintenance records as required or requested.
    • Compiles and maintains task lists/operations for maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
    • Coordinates with Maintenance Planner to ensure timely availability of spare parts for planned work orders.
    • Kits and stages spare parts, as required, to ensure availability and ready accessibility for planned work orders.
    • Provide support to the Engineering and Maintenance groups with necessary documentation and procedures to answer audits and questions regarding equipment and implementation of new work orders.
    • Generates reports detailing inventory level, spare parts consumption and cost, and equipment maintenance work metrics.
    • Generates reports detailing open and closed work orders, schedule date, duration of work order and associated cost by work center.
    • Develop and prepare standard and specialized reports, charts, templates, forms, rosters and files. Track purchase requisitions, capital requests and expenditures made on individual accounts. Contact vendors for pricing, parts availability and lead-time.
    • Support and maintain documentation associated with all lines that Technical Services supports.
    • Prepare key performance indicator (KPI) reports for Maintenance Supervisor using SAP/Excel and prepare graph results.
    • Track parts consumption used from preventive maintenance, prepare reports and graphs.
    • Track failed parts and display trends using Excel.
    • Enter equipment information (i.e. manuals, drawings, equipment manufacturers’ information, etc.) into SAP.
    • Coordinates with Purchasing or communicates directly with vendors, as required, to procure pricing and delivery of spare parts.
    • Maintains spare parts purchasing records, vendor files and other spare parts records as required.
    • Ensures maintenance documentation complies with quality and GMP requirements.
    • Provides training and support for using the CMMS.
    • Provides training and support for machine maintenance initiatives and maintenance reliability initiatives to improve business processes.

    • Strong computer system skills, such as with Word and Excel, and including use of the CMMS.
    • Good math skills and able to use a calculator.

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

     

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • 3 or more years production/production maintenance experience
    • Must be able to organize work and meet deadlines. The ability to carry out assignments where experience and judgment are required to understand the purpose of the assignment.

    Desired:

    • Knowledge of production/production maintenance.
    • Prior mechanical maintenance experience.
    • Understands precision alignment.
    • Prior experience working in a stock room.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
