    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:

    The Sales Service Associate is the first point of contact for our customers and conveys B. Braun’s philosophy of Sharing Expertise.  The Sales Service Associate will provide product/service information and resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency.  Communication with customers is mainly via phone and email.  Duties include but are not limited to providing price quotes, processing purchase orders, arranging shipments, providing tracking information, investigating and resolving product and price discrepancies, handling quality issues, record product complaints in SAP, ensuring custom product is manufactured to the correct customer revision level as well as handling all customer inquiries.


    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Interact with customers via phone, email, or in person.
    • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve their satisfaction. Process orders, forms, and requests. Resolve or escalate customer complaints requests
    • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive dialogue
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the proper methods and tools. Record product complaints in Discrepancy Management System and forward affected samples (if obtained from customer) to Quality for investigation
    • Provide pricing and delivery information
    • Provide samples, product material information, drawings, production specifications
    • Utilize Salesforce.com to track samples sent/create lead for account manager
    • Set up new customer accounts
    • Create and maintain pricing contracts in SAP
    • Create and Maintain Customer –Material Info Record (part number cross reference)
    • Determine customers’ forecasted quantity based on sales history
    • Maintain sales orders and inform Operations of any changes to quantities and/or requested delivery
    • Create Pro Forma Invoices, commercial invoices and CIF charges for International accounts
    • Proper implementation of Inco Terms 2010 as provided by the International Chamber of Commerce
    • Prepare and distribute customer activity reports
    • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
    • Assist Account manager by providing standard costs, lead times, case quantity, bills of material, lot traceability, etc.

    • High School Diploma
    • Minimum of 2 years’ customer service experience
    • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
    • Knowledge of administrative procedures
    • Knowledge of relevant computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), B. Docs, and Salesforce
    • Ability to perform arithmetic math calculations
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Valid driver’s license; some business travel may be required.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

    Responsibilities: Other Duties:

    • Provide purchase order confirmations
    • Work with Customer Support for products on allocation
    • Run territory sales reports utilizing Business Warehouse
    • Log new orders and track against sales target
    • Track orders through production to ensure we meet customers’ requested delivery dates
    • Run Booked/Shipped Analysis Report and review orders
    • Resolve issues with global compliance, logistics and freight forwarders
    • Track weekly shipment against sales target
    • Communicate any changes to delivery to customer
    • Assist with arranging shipment for evaluation lots on new products
    • Request off-line billings for development projects
    • Monitor customer base to ensure customers have orders in system; if not, inquire with customer
    • Travel to other B. Braun facilities or customer as necessary for meeting and/or training
    • Cross train in other territories to ensure coverage during vacations, absences
    • Work with Accounting on Letters of Credits and provide to freight forwarders
    • Investigate invoice discrepancies and issue debit/credit if necessary
    • Work with Accounting on unpaid invoices,
    • Request Certificates of Origin
    • Request Biocompatibility Statements for Materials/Biocompatibility Laboratory
