    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:

     Operate the sterilizers, monitor sterilizer control systems and maintain control systems for the sterilization of solution and devices.

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Set up and operate the Foxboro computerized control system for sterilizers according to established procedures, monitoring control and data collection systems on a continuous basis.
    • Operate the computerized data acquisition system (SMS) for production and ETR monitoring.
    • In conjunction with the Sterilizer Production Monitor ensure that production and sterilization requirements are met by monitoring product flow, QC time, the order of loading product in assigned vessels, and the availability of vessel time for running ETRs.
    • In the event of control system malfunction in the automatic mode, manually override the system to minimize product and/or equipment damage.
    • Maintain all production procedures relating to sterilization, updating them as required.
    • Maintain a complete file of production records, charts and graphs, etc. for all sterilizer runs.
    • Troubleshoot and perform routine preventive maintenance on control system equipment, and thermocouples in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
    • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
    • Work with minimum supervision.

    • Substantial loss of product is possible without constant monitoring of the control system.

    • Moderate damage to equipment may result if controls are not monitored.

    • Job Training and Experience
    • One year experience as a sterilizer monitor/prober.


    • Knowledge of FDA documentation requirements.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
