    U.S. Facilities and Operations:

     

    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    Under the direction of the Area Supervisor, organize, maintain, coordinate and manage the department's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and spare parts. Support engineering and maintenance groups with the necessary documentation and procedures and support groups with technical drawings. May coordinate and present training to personnel as needed.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Process Maintenance Work Orders including receipt, coordination, clarification, input, gaining necessary approval, tracking, assigning work section and prioritization.
    • Develop, organize, maintain and manage the section's Documentation Control System. Duties include distribution and posting of all changes, preparation and maintenance of all work orders in accordance with FDA regulations and rating as the department's liaison with the Production, Engineering and Quality Control departments. Manage and maintain manuals, procedures, engineering drawings, correspondence, regulations and related documents.
    • Organize, maintain and manage the section's preventive maintenance systems. Track equipment approaching their scheduled maintenance and distribute worksheets and work orders to appropriate work section. Clerical support for manufacturing maintenance and engineering groups. Maintain and update employee files and ongoing project files.
    • May develop non-technical training packages, conduct training presentations and develop and maintain the section's training system in support of the maintenance and plant training. Duties also include obtaining adequate classroom facilities and equipment as well as administering tests to class participants. Also responsible for filing of all training documents.
    • Perform administrative tasks to support manufacturing maintenance needs. Manage the office and develop and prepare standards and special reports, charts, templates, forms, rosters, budget forecasts and files as well as track purchase requisitions, RCIs and expenditures made on individual accounts. Contact vendors for pricing, part availability and lead-time. Order parts and maintain the Petty Cash account. Maintain inventories and control office supply account.
    • Support and maintain documentation associated with any line that manufacturing maintenance has responsibility over.
    • Prepare cost reports for maintenance supervisor.
    • Support the department with other duties as required.

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Typing, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and File Management.
    • Must cooperate well with others in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must comply with all cGMP and Safety regulations as stated in the B. Braun Employee Handbook.
    • Possess excellent organization, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to present training courses for maintenance personnel on cGMPs, company policies, FDA and OSHA regulations.

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

     

    Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Certificate(s) in computers or CMMS or 5 years of maintenance coordination experience in a CMMS environment.

    Desired:

    • AA degree in business administration, computer science or equivalent with a combination of 4 years maintenance coordination and production experience.
    • Minimum 1 year maintenance coordination experience beyond that used to satisfy equivalent education requirement. Experience must be in the pharmaceutical or drug manufacturing industry.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills to perform basic functions as well as interface with other departments and routing interpersonal activities.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
