    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:


    Leader of the Medical Affairs Clinical Specialists team, responsible for PIR filing, providing technical/clinical information to customers and users of B. Braun’s products and providing clinical input into product development.  


    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Leadership, management and development of the Medical Affairs Clinical Specialist (MACS) team.
    • Coordination of schedules and training of the MACS team.
    • Ensures all interactions with customers (internal and external) and users of B. Braun’s US products follow SOPs and provide clear and supported information of our products.
    • Ensure accurate current product cross reference information.
    • Ensures PIRs are filed on time with the appropriate information. Ensure appropriate follow for PIRs and accurate determination of injury/lack of.
    • Collaboratively and effectively communicate with various departments including Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, and R&D.
    • Ensures Clinical Knowledge Letters (CKL) contain accurate information.
    • Ensures optimal participation of Medical Affairs in all phases of product development, including launch and post-market.
    • Provides clinical and product training to B. Braun’s associates, when needed.
    • Identify the correct actions and facilitate, support and implement them as appropriate.
    • Other responsibilities as necessary.

    • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills,
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Proven critical thinking skills and clinical nursing competency.
    • Able to delegate/facilitate projects.
    • Ability to solve problems, prioritize and multitask.
    • Strong work organization abilities and standards.





    • Clinical background: Registered Nurse (BSN), Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, etc. with 5 years of experience in clinical role


    • No clinical background, yet with 5 years of experience managing Medical Information team.
    • 3 years managerial/leadership experienceApproximately 25% travel, mostly within the US


    • Experience with Medical Affairs, Medical Information or Customer Support in the Medical Device/Bio Pharma industry

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
