    U.S. Facilities and Operations:

     

    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    The Network Administrator position provides technical support and administration for all network systems. The Administrator will assist in implementing and maintaining systems based on project requirements.

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Application of system techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
    • Assist in design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, or modification of network systems or programs; including prototypes based on and related to user or system design specifications.
    • Manage Cisco voice gateway hardware systems.
    • Monitor network systems for operational integrity.
    • Assist in implementing and maintaining network systems based on the business needs of the company.
    • Organize and prioritize requests pertaining to network systems.
    • Provide support on all company standard hardware and software.
    • Provide Level II technical support to helpdesk and network users.
    • Analyze technical problems and define a strategy for resolving the issue.
    • Take an active role in assigned projects.
    • Create and/or maintain system validation documentation.
    • Create and/or maintain network systems policies and procedures.
    • Research and evaluate new technologies.

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Must have a good understanding of general business practices and have the ability to communicate in a non-technical manner. 
    • Must have experience in network operating systems such as Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office Professional, Project, Visio and Lotus Notes. Must have TCP/IP and Cisco network communication skills.
    • Must have good communication skills and be able to interface with users. Must practice good time management and project leadership skills.

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

    Required:

    • Associates degree and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience
    • Technical certification
    • 3 years Networking Technologies experience
    • Available on call 24-hours a day, seven days a week; ability to travel for business overnight to off-site locations to support systems, attend meetings, training and conferences.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
