    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    This position requires that two of the five workdays are Saturday and Sunday to provide support for the Needle Free Business Unit 24/7 operation. The work week will be from Wednesday to Sunday.

    Position Summary:

    Perform product inspections to ensure compliance to all specified requirements to determine product disposition. Operate in accordance with company policies and procedures, FDA Regulations, ISO Standards and Canadian Medical Device Regulations, where applicable.

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Inspect product to determine compliance with company’s quality control specifications.
    • Identify product with product status in accordance with company procedures.
    • Document the results of all inspections using proper documentation practices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Assist with non-conforming product investigations and identification of Corrective and Preventive Actions.
    • Ensure non-conforming product is properly segregated and quarantined.
    • Contribute with ideas and suggestions for continuous quality improvements.
    • Ensure personal training in accordance with department training matrix
    • Ensure job function is performed in accordance with all applicable company policies and procedures.
    • Continuous improvement of process, include rework, sorting, product trace ability etc.
    • Interface with all departments, as needed to address and resolve any product related problems
    • Reflect in performance and attitude the company’s strong support of quality.
    • Ensure operations within approved department budget.
    • Performs other related duties as required by management.

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Knowledge of quality policies, FDA Regulations and ISO Standards for medical device or pharmaceutical operations.  
    • Knowledgeable of inspection techniques. Must be able to evaluate ability of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet department needs
    • Must be able to work with all functional groups.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
    • Ability to act effectively in a team environment to resolve problems.
    • Basic computer skills including a word processing, and spreadsheet / data tracking analysis.
    • Decision and problem-solving skills.
    • Works under minimal supervision.
    • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.



    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc


    • 0-3 years experience.
    • High school diploma/GED


    • Associate’s Degree

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
