    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the reduction of inventory write-offs and write-ons through the implementation of programs and processes. Lead inventory audits with external auditors. Assist other departments with their cycle count programs to include coordinating inventory adjustments necessary for accuracy.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Owner of Operations Cycle Count Process and Policy, and lead for annual PwC audit.
    • Manage and report/support national plan to address shelf life product for all Divisions.
    • Create cycle count schedule based on Cycle Count Program.
    • Perform daily cycle counts determined by cycle count schedule.
    • Reconcile, maintain and analyze inventory balances associated with assigned warehouses. 
    • Interact daily with internal departments to maintain consistency and accuracy of material flow on incoming and outgoing product.
    • Design and distribute accurate monthly reports that provide information regarding inventory shortages and overages. 
    • Document and sign-off on all write-offs and write ons associated with shortages and overages.
    • Publish Monthly Cycle Count metrics.
    • Report cycle count discrepancies to Operations team for reconciliation and root cause analysis.
    • Daily utilization of the inventory management system (SAP) to reconcile discrepancies in the system to ensure accurate reporting.
    • Maintains files for PwC audits.
    • Executes inter-departmental training of cycle count program as required.
    • Assist with special projects as assigned by manager.
    • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual.

    Secondary or peripheral job functions:

    • Ability to work extra hours and flexible shifts, including some weekends if needed
    • Excellent interpersonal skills required, communication skills required both verbally/orally.
    • This position requires the handling of instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or other bodily fluids. In compliance with OSHA regulations, Aesculap will provide a safe working environment for all employees

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

    Required:

    • BS/BA Preferred
    • 5 years experience preferred
    • Three years inventory control experience in an automated warehouse environment.
    • Working knowledge of SOP/GMP instructions and guidelines.
    • Working knowledge of SAP system highly desirable
    • Knowledge of Lean material flow, planning and scheduling preferred.
    • Knowledge of computerized inventory control systems(MRP)
    • MS Word and Excel software experience required
    • Previous experience working with mainframe based warehouse management systems preferred
    • Knowledge of CFR820, ISO13485 and ISO 14971
    • Language and mathematical skills; reasoning ability:
    • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.  
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Desired:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
