    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:

    The Financial Analyst II is responsible for reporting, analysis, evaluation and updating of the spending on research, development and regulatory affairs. This includes spending on detailed projects, project structures, project timelines and project documents as required, as well as documenting and presenting the overall project portfolio. The position is furthermore responsible for reporting of manufacturing results, production volumes, inventory levels and other key metrics.



    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Control and monitor all project costs.  Analyze, compile, and report data for project review team meetings.
    • Forecast research, development and regulatory affairs spending quarterly
    • Forecast capital investments for key projects monthly
    • Support the financial study and calculation of financial returns of the new projects
    • Track the research & development cost of B. Braun to meet the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards
    • Maintain & execute monthly activity allocations to projects
    • Prepare monthly reporting packages for R&D and Regulatory Affairs
    • Attend quarterly review meetings to present R&D financials
    • Communicate project spending and forecasts between marketing, research, development and regulatory affairs
    • Analyze current business processes and improve information flow in SAP
    • Analyze, compile and monitor all spending associated with key projects using the SAP module PS (Project System)
    • Ad hoc reporting as needed

    • Financial and managerial accounting
    • SAP (FI/CO & PS modules)
    • Expert computer skills (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Report writing, presentation and facilitation skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
    • 3-5 years work experience in financial or managerial accounting of a manufacturing company
    • Familiarity with IFRS, specifically IAS 38
    • 2-3 years SAP experience in FI and CO modules



    • MBA/CPA
