    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:


    The Manager, Corporate and Internal Communications will champion and advance B. Braun Medical’s business objectives in the United States by directing, managing, and executing corporate and internal communication plans/programs, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This position will provide executive leadership communication support and HR communication support while enhancing awareness through employee engagement initiatives across the organization, using various communication channels.


    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Lead/manage development of the corporate employee magazine (on>lineUSA); identifying story angles, conducting interviews and writing content.
    • Develop a yearly company-wide internal communication plan and implement to spur employee engagement using various communication channels.
    • Provide executive leadership communication support (eg. talking points, Q&As, newsletters, videos and other projects as requested).  
    • Work closely with HR colleagues to develop a production and branding strategy plan to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all collateral materials. 
    • Identify, develop and execute CSR strategies and initiatives that further enhance B. Braun’s reputation as a leader in medical devices, healthcare and education.
    • Serve as an official spokesperson and leader of the organization on various news releases
    • Serve as the official PR contact regarding all media/press inquiries
    • Responsible for managing and posting employee engagement content to the BKC. Assist/Train colleagues with using the full capabilities of the BKC.
    • Develop and update annually the company’s Crisis Communication Plan
    • Assist Germany with various high-level projects such as reviewing and proof reading the global annual report, Germany’s on>line magazine, serving as US country coordinator for Global Sustainability Report project, and other communication projects as requested.
    • Participate in strategic partnerships and alliances with other B. Braun Medical legal entities including but not limited to Aesculap, CAPS, B. Braun Germany, etc. to share best practices and align internal & external communications impacting multiple markets.

    Responsibilities: Other Duties

    • Proof reading and copy editing  
    • Issuing communications updates and posting relevant news stories on B. Braun TV monitors

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills: collaborative, relationship builder, motivates others, excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Broad and deep knowledge of Healthcare industry
    • Experience working with various cross-functional teams
    • Experience working with various media outlets (ad agencies, news agencies, newspapers, magazines, TV stations, social media platforms, web providers)


    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, PR, or Communications
    • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years in corporate communications or marketing communications


    • Experience in healthcare industry and B2B companies.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
