    Position Summary:

    Responsible for assisting HR staff in day-to-day generalist activities in human resource administration, including but not limited to employee activities, training and development, project administration and recruitment.

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Assists in the recruitment process including but not limited to:
    • Inputting job requisitions into VirtualEdge system and uses this system to review and forward resumes to hiring manager.
    • Performs boarding process (i.e., receipt of application, run background checks, etc.)
    • Pre-screening of candidates.
    • Assists with Departmental projects that support Departmental and Corporate Objectives.
    • Assists with creating/updating necessary information in Talent Management system.
    • Assists with HR initiatives such as employee events, New Hire Orientation, HR Training and Internship Program.
    • Payroll Back Up
    • Organizes and Coordinates employee activities
    • Employee file maintenance
    • Maintains tracking logs
    • HRIS Data Entry
    • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual
    • Must embody the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values
    • Other duties may be assigned

    • Requires high level of confidentiality and willingness to support all areas of department.
    • Requires ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
    • Must be highly organized and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, handle multiple interruptions and adjust to unexpected changes in work assignments.
    • Assists on special projects with department staff as required.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc


    • B.A./B.S in Human Resources Management or related field, and 1 – 3 years work experience, specifically in a HR assistance role.
    • Knowledge and operation of HRIS system, ADP/Virtual Edge preferred, but not required.
    • Previous experience with Talent Management ADP software preferred, but not required.
    • Requires a minimum two years Windows based PC experience.  
    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required, as well as a general understanding of human resources law, theory and principles.
    • Computer skills in Windows, Lotus Notes e-mail, Excel and PowerPoint desirable.
    • Language and mathematical skills; reasoning ability:
    • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
