    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for producing Catia Cam and/or PartMaker programs as directed by the Director, R&D Manufacturing or his designee. Will support prototype machinist with manufacturing information.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Creating CAM programs on all equipment as required
    • Providing manufacturing information for prototype machinists
    • Creating overlay's and other quality gaging
    • Performing preventive maintenance on all shop equipment
    • Maintaining a cleanly work environment
    • All duties of prototype machinists
    • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual
    • Must embody the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values

    • Metal finishing, Clean and passivation, Heat Treatrment, Tig and Laser welding, and Laser marking skills are a plus.

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • 10 years machining experience required.
    • 5 years machining experience in a medical field preferred.
    • 3 years CAM experience required.
    • Ability to set-up and run CNC lathes, mills, EDM and manual equipment
    • Experience in programming, utilizing EIA as well as mazatrol languages
    • Experience with cutting stainless steels, titanium, and other exotic metals
    • Ability to interpret blueprints including GDT and machine parts to precise dimensions
    • Must possess strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and a very strong work ethic 
    • Language and mathematical skills; reasoning ability:
    • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Desired:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
