    U.S. Facilities and Operations:

     

    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    The Chronic Care Specialist will consistently drive results to introduce, grow and maintain sales of our Chronic Care products (wound, ostomy, incontinence) to meet corporate and territory growth objectives.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Work closely with Distributors and DME representatives, field bases clinical support and clinical support personnel to promote B. Braun Chronic Care products within the territory.
    • Work independently with account decision makers and achieve evaluations and sales of Chronic Care products beyond co-marketing objective.
    • Work with varying clinical specialties to qualify potential clinical and case studies.
    • In conjuction with Marketing, develop relationships and manage Key Opinion Leaders, in the following fields, WOCN(Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse) & ET (Enterostomal Therapists).
    • Participate with Marketing in the development of field based support material (evaluation, advertising, sales, IFU posters etc.)
    • Prepare financial analysis, proposals, clinical and competitive analysis for customers and prospects. Coordinate pricing, proposals and presentations on products.
    • Manage account strategies to include committee presentations, product evaluations and executive suite proposals.
    • Coordinate Chronic Care product evaluations within the territory.
    • Train and support Distributor and DME representatives on Chronic Care products and strategies.
    • Train and support clinicians on Chronic Care products.
    • Drive win/win relationships and maintain customer satisfaction. Prospect and qualify territory for new leads.
    • Perform Market Research / clinical assessments and various administrative tasks as required.

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Proficient math aptitude and computer skills (MS Office applications).
    • Ability to initiate projects and tasks with little or no direction and make decisions independently, sometimes without many facts available in order to solve a customer problem or concern, and handle high-pressure sales situations with confidence.
    • Extensive knowledge of B. Braun’s products and services.
    • Strong understanding of hospital, clinic, LTC and home care structure and role of personnel.
    • Ability to work well with diverse personalities and backgrounds of people.
    • Ability to travel extensively and work odd hours and shifts.

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

     

    Required:

    • Bachelors Degree with a minimum 5 years of Chronic Care (wound, urinary, ostomy) background.
    • Minimum 2 years previous experience in the sales or clinical support of chronic care products.
    • Proven track record of success at B.Braun or at a similar company.
    • Candidates should also have a strong understanding of hospital, clinic, LTC and home care structure and role of personnel.
    • About 85% travel
    • Frequent overnight business travel (domestic).
    • Valid driver’s license and current automobile registration and insurance.

    Desired:

    • Related training in selling and negotiating.
    • Knowledge of B. Braun products and services.
    • Completion of B. Braun’s graduate training curriculum.
    • Certified Wound Care Specialist

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
