    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:

    The EDW Data Modeler will work with the business stakeholders to understand the requirements and design conceptual, logical and physical data models, conducts data risk assessments, data mappings/ and lifecycle and builds an data governance model.. Develop relational databases and strategies for data warehouse implementations using industry best practices.



    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Design and oversee data discovery process.
    • Instantiate data infrastructure.
    • Design reporting data store portion of relational data model.
    • Design reporting facts and dimensions of relational data model.
    • Create physical data model.
    • Design relational security model.
    • Document the data dictionary.
    • Oversee relational system testing.
    • Provide direction and definition of data modeling strategy and delivery
    • Lead effort of delivering data modeling solutions and platform.
    • Implements standards and best practices in support of the EIM vision and reference architecture.
    • Develop technical standards and specifications for database models, data security and data warehouse performance
    • Develop and coordinate regional and global project efforts.  Serve as project leader on assigned projects. Assign tasks to project team; explain work methods, and check work for completeness, timeliness and accuracy.
    • Modify, install and prepare technical documentation for Data Modeling tools
    • Perform all tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the data analytics infrastructure
    • Prepare project status reports to inform management to project progression.  Identify any issues, which need to be escalated for resolution or assistance.
    • Assist in developing capital and operating budget plans.



    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Data auditing and evaluation
    • Relational star-schema data model design
    • Experience in Data Modeling (Dimensional and other techniques using modeling tools) role, including transactional systems, data warehouses and data marts
    • Design, conceptual, logical and physical data models
    • Maintain data dictionary and capture metadata
    • Experience working with unstructured data
    • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse on Hana platform. BW data cubes, data sources and multi providers.
    • Knowledge of SAP R/3 data elements, tables, structures and views.
    • Experience with modeling normalized and de-normalized data structures
    • Experience in developing and maintaining data mapping ETL needs and data lineage
    • BI semantic-layer modeling
    • Experience and Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and similar applications such as   Business Objects.
    • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, business groups, contractors, consultants and vendors.
    • Ability to define and explain work methods.
    • Must maintain confidentiality of proprietary, financial and personal data.


    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



    • 4 year Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or related field.
    • 10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience leading project teams, directing work, developing requirements working with business.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication



    • Vendor technical certifications
