    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    Responsible for analysis and administration related to the organization's sales compensation programs. Oversees the calculation of monthly field sales commission earnings.  Responsible for translating compensation data into actionable insights for areas such as, total pay management, incentive plan design, incentive processing, quarterly analytics, and overall project management.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    Principal Duties Responsibilities: 

    • Participates in the development of sales commission plans and other incentive programs that support the organization's sales goals, reflect the sales culture, and maintain competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs.
    • Calculates and monitors the incentive payout processes, ensuring that calculations are correct and distributions are made according to an established schedule for direct and indirect sales employees on a monthly, quarterly and as needed basis.
    • Ensures that all compensation-related activities are in compliance with applicable regulations and standards for organization Base Pay philosophy.
    • Partner with sales leadership to provide operational analysis, reporting and trends related to commissions, compensation plans, and the salesforce.
    • Drive continuous process improvements for incentive compensation seeking further efficiencies and future automation.
    • Responsible for driving and leading department-wide commission related projects to ensure overall success.
    • Lead the annual coordination and preparation of the compensation plan and communication/ distribution to field sales by developing and delivery of documentation and training meant to communicate and explain new sales compensation plans
    • Conduct reporting, including reporting from disparate data sources, to support business requirements
    • Provide market competitive incentive recommendations by evaluating market and internal benchmarks, employee attrition, and business goals
    • Manage financial modeling of incentive compensation plans based on Company goals
    • Listen to, triage, process and resolve questions from the Sales team and serve as the primary point of contact regarding the calculation of their commission
    • Estimate monthly commission liability for Management and Finance VP
    • Analyze variances to Plan/Forecasts and explain significant variances to upper management
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly analysis for Senior Management
    • Prepare, analyze and complete special projects for senior management and other functional areas as requested.
    • Prepare data for annual sales planning and long-range ideas.
    • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.   

     

    Mathematical Skills:  Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. 

     

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

     

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Sales, Mathematics, Accounting or related business area
    • SAP experience preferred
    • 3-5 years of data analysis or finance experience
    • Strong analytical and mathematical skills required
    • Previous sales compensation experience preferred
    • Previous experience with compensation software preferred
    • Highly proficient in MS Excel
    • Project management experience preferred
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects and meet deadlines required
