    U.S. Facilities and Operations:

     

    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

     

    The Clinical Educator (CE) is committed to providing World-Class product related education, hands-on training, and follow up product support to our existing and/or potential customers on the use of B. Braun Medical (BBM) Infusion products. The CE will report directly to the Senior Clinical Educator/Team leader and National Manager, Clinical Support and Services, collaborate with Clinical Zone Managers (CZM), Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC), Clinical Administration, and Sales Team members to advance the sales process while maximizing customer experience and satisfaction. The primary role of the CE is to support the B. Braun Infusion Therapy Device product lines and Introcan Safety IV Catheter product lines, among other clinically supported B. Braun product.

     

    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Serve as a product resource expert and mentor to newly hired and existing BBM educators.
    • Conduct and lead in-services and educational sessions relative to BBM products during evaluations, conversions and trouble-shooting.
    • Assist B. Braun Team members with tasked implementation duties/responsibilities either before, during, or post implementations.
    • Responsible for maintaining work calendar and commitments, while making all travel arrangements for projects within company guidelines.
    • Function as a team member with the Clinical Zone Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, and Sales Force Representative(s).
    • Provide a detailed daily account update on progress of conversion and monthly account activities
    • Effectively deliver instructional information to customer healthcare professionals on the use of B. Braun clinically supported products to include features and benefits and functionality.
    • May be assigned other duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

     

    Required:

    • Minimum of Associate degree in Nursing or related medical field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a clinical care setting with background in IV Therapy and Infusion Therapy devices/systems. Alternate education and experience, such as paramedic with significant experience as a trainer and teacher, may also be considered.
    • A current state issued clinical license in good standing.
    • Annual renewal of clinical license in good standing required.
    • Typically requires airline travel with some regional travel destinations. Overnight and extended stays are also a requirement - expected overnight travel of 90% or greater.
    • Willingness to work all shifts to include (Day Shift/Night Shift/Split Shift/Weekend Shift).
    • Provide routine monthly availability of 5 consecutive days on any given week.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Valid passport for international travel may be necessary.

    Desired:

    • Bachelors degree or greater preferred.
    • Experience in the Medical Device industry, sales, and/or education with a high degree of customer engagement experience is highly desirable.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

    • Daily and weekly administrative duties assigned (trip reports, monthly reports, expense reports, others prn) completed in timely manner according to established departmental protocols and guidelines
