    U.S. Facilities and Operations:


    Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


    Position Summary:


    This position supports and implements the SAP Sales and Distribution, Customer Service functions and applications within B. Braun Medical US.


    Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Provide configuration and functional support for the Sales and Distribution and related functions in the SAP system. This includes but is not limited to functionality and configuration experience in the areas of Sales orders, Service notifications, Service orders, Invoicing, Deliveries and shipping functions, Contracts and Charge backs and related master data required to support the processes.
    • Manage or participate as a team member on projects involving Sales and Distribution functionality implementation or modifications.
    • Act as a liaison between the business and the local IT department to gather requirements and implement solutions for process improvements and new functionality.
    • Manage or participate in Global changes to SAP systems. Develop work plans to implement global changes.  Discuss and prepare local locations for global changes being discussed / implemented.
    • Develop and maintain system documentation, validation protocols, testing and training materials in the above mentioned functional areas as needed.
    • Evaluate, recommend and implement system enhancements and/or new functionality based on cost justification and operational improvement requirements.
    • Manage upgrades and application of hot packs/support packages within the SD module functions.
    • Interface with outside contractors involved in projects and insure adherence to company operating procedures, validation protocols and standards.
    • Act as internal Consultant and support all SAP functions related to the SD / CS modules.
    • Develop and manage project plans and schedules. May serve as project leader and/or working participant on assigned projects.  Assign tasks to project team; explain work methods, and check for completeness, timeliness and accuracy.
    • Write detailed specifications of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
    • Prepare project status reports to inform management of project progression. Identify any issues, which need to be evaluated to management for resolution or assistant.
    • Provide support to SAP production systems users by phone or on site for seven days a week, 24 hour a day basis.
    • Train new and existing users on use of SAP system functionality and processes..
    • Lead new technology evaluation related to operating systems, hardware, software packages, development tools and methodologies. Keep current on SAP functionality and applications related to SD/CS processes.
    • Follow company validation procedures as outlined by the QA/QC Departments for changing and implementing systems. Prepare Validation protocol reports to adhere to FDA and GMP procedures and requirements.  Ensure that team members and consultant also follow same procedures.

    Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

    • Use of standard operating systems; network environments and application software.
    • Prioritize, organize and complete tasks in accordance with established standards and deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, other departmental representatives; contractors, consultants, vendors and external customers; supervisory principles and method.
    • Assign tasks, explain work methods, demonstrate equipment usage, and check work for completeness, timeliness and accuracy; read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary, validation, financial and personnel data.
    • Ability to work independently and also as a team member for project activities.




     Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Five plus years related application/infrastructure creation experience including steps from requirements definition through implementation using standard toolsets; 5 years working experience with the Sales and Distribution / Customer Service module
    • Available on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week; ability to travel overnight to off-site locations to support systems, attend meetings and conferences.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
