Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

Seeking a hands on facilities professional to manage a small remote engineering/facilities team.  Proven project management skills highly desired.  Responsible for the design, building, and major maintenance of all of the CAPS pharmacies.  Provides support and expertise to the Directors of Pharmacy, QA, and Operations related to the physical requirements and operation of the CAPS pharmacies.  Determines and selects critical equipment to be used in the facilities.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Responsible for planning, directing and managing all aspects of the engineering department at CAPS.
  • Develops and implements policies governing facility maintenance and repaid, space planning and utilization, and design/construction of ISO class 7 cleanrooms.
  • Oversees scheduled maintenance and as needed repair of buildings, grounds, or associated systems and equipment.
  • Conducts space planning or modifies building/equipment layouts in response to changing organizational needs. Plans and oversees physical moves.
  • Solicits bids, selects contracts/subcontractors and negotiates bids for the renovation of facilities, construction, etc.
  • Responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, termination.
  • Develops long term departmental strategic goals supporting corporate annual objectives.
  • Work with cross functional teams within CAPS on projects.
  • Work with CAPS Finance department on issuance of purchase orders and vendor payments pertaining to construction and facility maintenance.
  • Provides support and expertise to the Director of Pharmacy, Quality and other functional workteams related to the physical requirements and operation of the CAPS pharmacies in compliance with Federal and State regulations, as well as current USP <797>, USP <800>, and cGMP guidance.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of professional field and industry. Influences the development of and drives the application of principles, theories, concepts. Determines best course of action.
  • Manages entry to intermediate level employees of a department or a function with 1 or 2 sections. Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external clients and customers to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations. May consult with senior management.

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 06-08 years related experience required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Frequent business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
