Position Summary:


The Irvine Plant (local) Project Management Office (PMO) manager incumbent supporting project execution and management will iImplement and drive project execution and management according to PEM@B. Braun standards. Support the globally harmonized project execution and management system, the PEM provides a strong and supportive project environment based on best practice experience and built on common guidelines, engineering and technical standards, forms, templates and tools. Continue to develop the qualification of our project managers and assign them accordingly to their skills for different project categories. Continuously improve project management practices across the site and develop a new culture to project management excellence. Ensure consolidated status and performance reporting for all portfolios, programs and projects within their domain.

PEM is developed based on PMBOK® Project Management Body of Knowledge, Project Management Institute, ISO9001 Quality Management and ISO21500 Guidance on Project Management.


Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Support project teams and project work with methodologies, standards and tools in accordance to the corporate PEM@B.Braun system.
  • Support project teams and project work with defining business goals, resource management, schedule/cost/scope management, ect.
  • Aligning strategic priorities and business goals to initiatives, portfolios, programs and projects
  • Administration and support for corporate Project Management IT applications.
  • Provides oversight of status and health of Site Portfolios, Programs and Project through the use of PEm@B. Braun system.
  • Facilitates monthly Portfolio Management Team (PfMT) meetings with Senior Management.
  • Facilitates Project Execution Committee (PxC) meetings with Resource Managers to ensure resource allocation on the higher priority projects.
  • Facilitates Program status meetings with Program and Project Managers.
  • Monitors the facilities Capital Budget with Plant Controller to ensure the Capital Budget is being executed as forecasted, supports updating forecasts as needed.
  • Ensures Project Managers are trained on the Project Management process. 
  • Implements and drives methodology to be utilized for Project Management at the site.
  • Enforces discipline across the site for Project Managers in all areas of the facility including approval process for new projects, ensures resource loading, capital request completion, categorizes projects, prioritizes, project execution, performance measures, etc.
  • Provides oversight of status and health of Site Project Portfolio. Will have direct oversight of PDWare, and will manage the PDWare administrator. 
  • Facilitates weekly Project Management review meetings with Senior Management, monitors the facilities Capital Budget and ensure the Capital Budget is being executed as forecasted.
  • Ensures the Project Managers in the site are trained on the Project Management process.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of professional field and industry. Influences the development of and drives the application of principles, theories, and concepts. Determines best course of action.
  • Talent management (in collaboration with Human Resources).
  • Governance and performance, management (performing reporting, information distribution, metrics/ KPIs. Ect.)
  • Organizational change management.
  • Knowledge management for project management (lessons learned, content management and collaboration).
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers.
  • Proficient in: MS Project Professional 2016, SharePoint Collaboration and MS Teams.



Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10-12 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required
