Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The position will be responsible for editing and proofreading labeling for both Pharmaceutical and medical device products. 

Coordinate and managing labeling projects for pharmaceutical or device with minimal supervision. Prepare labels and related support documentation for regulatory submissions. Create, obtain approval, and ensure implementation of new and revised labeling in accordance with applicable regulations and policies. Coordinate with outside vendors and manufacturing to ensure ordering, receipt, and implementation of new and revised labels.

 

Job Function - General:

 

  • Proofreads and reviews pharmaceutical and medical device labeling for accuracy, formatting, adherence to internal and external regulations, GMP, GDP, and consistency through-out project documentation.
  • Coordinates pharmaceutical and medical device labeling projects with moderate supervision.
  • Creates and circulates for approval pharmaceutical and medical device labeling.
  • Ensures labeling is compliant with GMP, applicable domestic and foreign regulatory requirements, and internal labeling standards.
  • Prepares labeling review package to accompany label approval Manage obtaining necessary approvals per project timelines.
  • Prepares labeling and related support documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinates with external vendors to ensure ordering, receipt, and implementation of purchased printed labels.
  • Participates on project teams as needed to provide labeling updates and information.
  • Deals with various internal printers and print technology in the manufacturing facility.
  • Processes annual reports.
  • Processes forms/COPs/SOPs/WIs/etc for administrative purposes.
  • Maintains label filing, organizing project documentation and labeling samples.
  • Provides project support material to outside business partners when needed.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented
  • Proficient in proper English grammar
  • Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience with proofreading software desired
  • Graphic Design Software: Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Quark Xpress desired
  • Labeling Management Software Experience desired
  • Knowledge of GMP practices, GDP practices, domestic and foreign regulatory requirements, and change control process desired

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

 

Education and Professional Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design required.

Experience:

  • 04-06 years related experience desired.

Certification:

  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.

Supervision Given and Received:

  • Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of other peers.

Problem Solving:

  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems

Contacts/Cooperation:

  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Additional Requirement:

  • Secrecy and invention agreement and non-compete agreement.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
