Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Division Reporting Analyst is in the Planning & Controlling department supports the Planning & Controlling Manager with the monthly division reporting functions, and supports the IT and Finance organizations with monthly reporting and forecasting. The position also is also responsible for improving current business processes using SAP functionality to support end users and to resolve problems, and analyze results. All responsibilities include company-wide activities related to the analysis of actual results and the projections of future results. The main objective of the position is to deliver reliable and timely data as basis for management decision.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Month end close activities including complex SAP transactions, and multiple SAP CO-PA reports.
  • Analyses of divisional P&L’s and explanations to Executive Management.
  • Reconciliation of legal financial results and divisional results.
  • Calculation of cost allocations between divisions.
  • Submission of monthly actual and quarterly forecast results to parent company.
  • Monthly financial reporting preparation and analysis.
  • Analysis of monthly variances.
  • Preparation of quarterly forecasts.
  • Preparation of quarterly business review presentations.
  • Assist in long range plan forecasts.
  • Create SAP CO-PA reports.
  • Research and correct variances between different SAP modules (FI-CO) as needed.
  • Analyses and preparation of statistical and routine reports, including any desirable analysis of monthly departmental reports.
  • Analyses of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the company’s financial results.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports as required by management.
  • Supports the Planning & Controlling Department with the monthly and quarterly division reporting functions.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent MS Excel and SAP knowledge, financial accounting principles, project management
  • Computer skills to include MS Applications like, Excel with advanced formulas, Access database knowledge and Power Point Presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication, very good presentation style, multiple tasking, planning and organizing, good judgment, experience in working in an international environment.
  • Hyperion/COGNOS TM-1 experience a plus.
  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field.
  • Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
  • May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers.
  • Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Desired

  • MBA/CPA

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field 
  • SAP Training
  • Extensive computer skills (MS Excel, Access)
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 04-06 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required
