Responsibilities

 

Position Summary:

The Vice President, General Manager is responsible for planning, directing and managing all aspects of the manufacturing operations at the Allentown facilities. This position monitors facility operations to ensure safe and efficient operation.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

 

  • Establish and meet KPIs on a monthly basis; meet all manufacturing goals to support the customer demands.
  • Direct plant meetings, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
  • Administer cooperation with the various departments to establish teamwork from the purchasing, production, and shipping departments.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Oversees operational budgets and short and long range facility improvement needs.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires breadth of organizational, professional field, and industry knowledge. Ability to integrate critical information from several diverse areas. Champions advanced strategies and concepts.
  • Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees. Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Consults senior executive management / group board members of BBM on company-wide initiatives and acts as spokesperson on matters regarding policy, capability, and strategy to the organization.

 

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport, Secrecy and invention agreement and non-compete agreement, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
