Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The Senior Product Manager, B. Braun Interventional Systems (BIS) will serve as a key member of the U.S. cardiovascular business. Responsible for managing and implementing marketing activities for assigned product areas through research, strategic planning and implementation. Responsible for achievement of various business objectives to include strategic, tactical projects and financial metrics. This individual will lead the development of BIS’ upstream and downstream interventional pediatric/congenital and structural heart specialty business strategy. This individual will manage multiple new product introductions. They will be a subject matter expert and resource for the direct sales organization. This role will report to the Group Product Director and will require close cross-functional collaboration with global and local cross-functional teams and key third-party suppliers. This role will help develop and manage Key Opinion Leader relationships for assigned product segments.

 

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Manages overall profitability of complex cardiovascular product line (large dollar volume, major product development).
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and control of both upstream and downstream marketing programs to maintain and increase market share and profits.
  • Develops and administers launch plans for new or revised products, creates and administers strategies for increasing market share of existing products, and assists in retirement and communication planning for product decommissioning.
  • Develops outstanding external relationships with customers.
  • Evaluates performance of marketing initiatives and revises strategy in response.
  • Participates in planning of sales promotions or other special events, such as conferences, trade shows, or user meetings.
  • Analyzes and understands market trends at macro and micro level to inform strategic direction of assigned product segments.
  • Provides direct support and education to the sales team and to physicians on B. Braun Interventional Systems interventional devices and clinical/value messaging.

  • Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning & checking the work of other peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external clients and customers to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations. May consult with senior management.

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 06-08 years related product management experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional business travel required (up to 20% of the time) Valid driver's license and passport, Secrecy and invention agreement and non- compete agreement,.
  • Must be willing to support procedures in the cath lab.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
