Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The Manager, Project Manager position is responsible for planning, directing and managing strategic projects related to desired company direction of the manufacturing and site operations within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors or staff. Strive to ensure on time completion of project, work scope and budgets are being met within an acceptable range.

 

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Leads a team of Project Managers to deliver multi million dollar projects for parenteral pharmaceutical products.
  • Involves multi discipline project management responsibilities and global interface in a team environment.
  • Directs all functions within the business unit to deliver projects in support of manufacturing and site operations.
  • Develops and executes strategic plan to achieve short and long term business objectives.
  • Coordinate and direct project team efforts toward realization of agreed scope, goals, schedules and objectives of the project.
  • This function assists in clarification of project goals and objectives with sponsor and stakeholders of the project including Sales/Marketing.
  • Controls all activities and directs personnel involved in the project life cycle including planning, design, development, implementation and completion of the project.
  • Prepare and present monthly KPI’s, Reports and Financials of project in meetings to Senior Leadership Team.
  • Planning, directing and managing all aspects of the manufacturing operations at assigned facility and ensures safe and efficient environment.

  • Administer cooperation with the various departments to establish teamwork from all departments site wide and to include vendors, OEM and contractors.

  • Conduct employee performance reviews for direct reports.

  • Oversees operational budgets and short and long range facility improvement. .

  • Champions advanced strategies and concepts. Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees.

  • Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.

  • Responsible for cost, method, and employee results.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external clients and customers to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations.
  • May consult with senior management.
  • Highly organized professional who has the ability to integrate critical information from several diverse areas.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience working in GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical preferred. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10-12 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
