Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The PMO Manager is responsible for planning, directing and managing strategic projects related to desired company direction of the manufacturing and site operations within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors or staff.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Implements and drives methodology to be utilized for Project Management at the site.
  • Enforces discipline across the site for Project Managers in all areas of the facility including approval process for new projects, ensures resource loading, capital request completion, categorizes projects, prioritizes, project execution, performance measures, etc.
  • Provides oversight of status and health of Site Project Portfolio.
  • Will have direct oversight of PDWare, and will manage the PDWare administrator.  
  • Facilitates weekly Project Management review meetings with Senior Management, monitors the facilities Capital Budget and ensure the Capital Budget is being executed as forecasted.
  • Ensures the Project Managers in the site are trained on the Project Management process.  
  • Responsible for planning, directing and managing all aspects of Project Management.

  • Administers cooperation with the various departments to establish teamwork from all department site wide, this to include vendors, contractors and OEM.

  • Conduct employee performance reviews for direct reports. Oversees operational budgets and short and long range facility improvement.

  • Manages entry to intermediate level employees of a department or a function with 1 or 2 sections.
  • Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers.
  • Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.
  • Ability to integrate critical information from several diverse areas.

  • Champions advanced strategies and concepts.

  • Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees.

  • Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.

  • Consults senior executive management / group board members of BBM on company-wide initiatives and acts as spokesperson on matters regarding policy, capability, and strategy to the organization.

  • Highly proficient in abilities to provide mentorship and overwatch of staff and project managers in assuring on time delivery of projects that are with in timeline and financial scopes.
  • Drive department to ensure team remains within scope of projects and planned work. As well ensure timely work completion that meets and exceeds expectations of customers.

  •  Ability to lead multiple facets of projects and determine best course of action when faced with challenging obstacles. Ability to develop, maintain and present KPI’s, and project scope presentations to Senior Leadership Team, to include financials.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experienced professional in Six Sigma Techniques, Black Belt Highly Preferred.
  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience working in GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Accounting or MBA preferred.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 08-10 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
