Position Summary:



Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Directs the organization's Quality function and develops operational programs, policies, and processes.
  • Ensure CAPS compliance to federal, state and internal regulations and policies.
  • Ensure high level of product quality and process efficiencies for operation.
  • Ensure high level of customer service from quality perspective ­ on time product release, resolution of internal deviations and customer complaints.
  • Responsible for the managing, recruitment, hiring, and skill development of Managers for 503B Outsourcing Facilities.
  • Accountable for management of 503B capital budgets and QA expenses that can impact P & L.
  • Research and review potential new technologies or methodologies that can enhance testing and process efficiencies.
  • Support development and proliferation of annual corporate objectives for 503B.
  • Track quality achievement through key performance indicators.
  • Provide consultative support to the organization in area of subject matter expertise.
  • Work on other special projects as assigned.
  • Develops strategies meant to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible.
  • May represent the organization during external inspections or audits.
  • Functions as a management representative. Executive management responsible in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Supervision Given and Received:

  • Manages activities of a functional area which has at least 2 departments or major functions through managers and/or experienced employees.
  • Responsible for cost, method, and employee results.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 12-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional business travel required, Ability to work non¬standard schedule as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
