Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

Under the direction of the Maintenance Systems Manager this position will be responsible for supervising the Maintenance Stock Room group. This position includes developing systems for (MSR), driving corporate Maintenance systems initiatives related to MSR and supporting maintenance planning as needed. The incumbent will lead a cross functional team to develop and manage maintenance processes such as inventory support for planning/scheduling and daily maintenance needs. Responsible for the implementation and roll out of corporate and local procedures. In addition, this position will be responsible for the development and implementation of Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and the generation of management reports for the maintenance stock room program metrics.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic materials management processes in support of maintenance and business objectives while improving and optimizing spare parts inventory accuracy and establish proper metrics for equipment performance.
  • Work with suppliers to discuss issues, performance, and future strategies.
  • Evaluates supplier processes and partners with suppliers to establish Best in Class performance.
  • Accountable for optimizing inventory turns - minimize excess & obsolete inventory through product life cycle management.
  • Accountable for maximizing service levels of MSR, in conjunction with inventory goals, through distribution requirement planning and deployments.
  • Responsible to provide management with inventory projections and proactively identifies service level issues.
  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse while ensuring compliance with safety and cGMP requirements
  • Main responsibilities include oversight of MSR administrator, leads and Storeroom Operations.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field.
  • Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Provides direct or indirect supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals.
  • Accountabilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers.
  • Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Pharmaceutical or Medical Device environment.
  • 6 years in GMP environment.
  • 6 years experience in maintenance or parts inventory.
  • Extensive experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing Key Performance Indicators.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 06-08 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
