Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, in alignment with the Executive Leadership Team and Human Resources, provides leadership and coordination within the company and individual efforts to advance our DEI mission. This position champions our culture, and strategic imperatives, to our employees as well as external candidates. In collaboration with managers and staff at all levels, this role develops and implements DEI strategies, particularly in the areas of organizational culture, staff support and programs.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Responsible for the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
  • Establishes and implements strategies meant to encourage/build an inclusive and diverse workforce.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership team to develop and implement strategies for recruiting and advancing employees.
  • Designs and supports training or workshops for employees, manager or executive detailing the impact of a diverse workforce on business operations.
  • Reviews organization policies and procedures for potential adverse impacts and suggests revisions that are meant to encourage inclusion and promote diversity.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires breadth of professional field and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies/concepts through the organization.
  • Drives development of advanced technologies, principles and processes.
  • Directs the activities of a broad functional area through division heads who are responsible for planning, budgeting, costs, methods and employees.
  • Determines actual organizational structure and allocation of resources.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Represents the organization as a prime contact on projects and departmental operations.
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on issues often requiring coordination across organizational lines.

 

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 15 years related experience required, plus a minimum of 7 years management experience required
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
