Position Summary:


Under the direction of the Assets and Inventory Manager, set up systems for the tracking of key performance indicators, manage inventory schedules to maintain optimum inventory levels and ensure an uninterrupted supply. Main responsibilities for assigned inventory include review of daily inventory and asset requests, issuance of daily inventory schedules, follow up on timely product releases and manage inventory availability. Focus should also be on the dollar value of asset inventories with intent to minimize investment.


Responsibilities: Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for maintaining weekly and monthly shipping schedules for surgical cases using existing Inventory.
  • Manage and record daily, weekly and monthly inventory schedules for surgical kits to ensure optimum inventory levels and maximize equipment and resource utilization.
  • Inform Distributors/Company Representatives, and management of any inventory discrepancies.
  • Work with other departments and team members to ensure timely release of inventory needed for surgery cases.
  • Work with Quality Control, Purchasing and Marketing on new product developments.
  • Stay abreast of usage trends and demands that may affect inventory requirements or result in constraints for assets.
  • Attend or schedule meetings to communicate needs and resolve issues pertaining to upcoming scheduling requirements.
  • Communicate changes to inventory requests to Asset and Inventory Manager on a timely basis.
  • Ability to locate, identify, pick kits that are stored in bin
  • Responsible for inventory of medical kits and parts from time scheduled through product return.
  • Ability to track and trace inventory using various systems.
  • Ability to coordinate and inform customers of the need to return inventory from field locations
  • Prioritize returned assets as they relate to released inventory availability.
  • As necessary, meet with Supply Chain to discuss procurement/inventory issues.
  • Ability to coordinate, negotiate solutions with distributor partners to meet the needs and demands of the company’s overall objectives.
  • Manage asset schedule to ensure the availability of inventory.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.   
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. 
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  


Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc



  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, preferably in Business or Logistics.
  • 2-3 years of inventory management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control systems and SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point is required).
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of SOP/GMP requirements.
  • Knowledge of Lean material flow, planning and scheduling preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, as a team player, and team leader.
  • Ability to motivate and energize others.
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations, and negotiate positive outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize daily activities.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Very strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to teach and train
  • Ability to utilize warehouse equipment as needed.
