Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The Business Systems Technology Specialist III will develop and update code for new and existing order management systems, web and mobile applications.  Test and document code based on system requirements, technical specifications, and detailed design specifications.  

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Design, execute and deploy business application systems.
  • Apply technical expertise to the implementation, monitoring, or maintenance of IT systems.
  • Involvement in the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and management of solutions.
  • Establish a technical vision for complex, enterprise projects.
  • Interact with IT colleagues and business stakeholders in problem solving, creating business capabilities, and defining effective and efficient technology solutions for solving business problems.
  • Assist System Analysts, Network Administrators, and the helpdesk deskside support group with technical support issues.
  • Ability to present technical concepts across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Provide product focal point and subject matter technical expertise.
  • Provide escalated user support.
  • Monitor activities of and coordinates activities with service providers, partners and vendors for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assist Business colleagues in creation of training documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Interacts with local and global colleagues to ensure solutions follow strategic path goals and objectives.
  • Prepare project status reports to inform management to project progression. Identifies any issues which need to be escalated for resolution or assistance.
  • Adhere to system validation plans as required to meet corporate business needs and support the company’s GxP validation requirements.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Software Programming skills in HTML5, Java, JavaScript environments and Angular framework. 
  • Knowledge of full stack programming areas of development.  
  • Uses Agile and SCRUM methodology in programming in team environments.  
  • Able to convey detailed and summary of programming updates as needed to colleagues and management.   
  • Consistently refreshes programming skills in core programming languages and is able learn new skills in a dynamic development environment. 
  • Firsthand experience of Systems Development Lifecycle and OWASP coding best practices.  
  • Able to perform peer code reviews and give feedback to development and validation teams.  
  • Experience with GIT repository for software versioning and deployment of code.   
  • Implements automated code testing techniques.  
  • Able to provide application support and troubleshooting for the application to internal and external customers.  
  • Worked in a regulated environment, familiar with 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records/signatures and GAMP 5 framework.  
  • Ability to work in on premises hosted environments and cloud computing IaaS, SaaS, PaaS environments.  
  • Ability to work in small to medium sized development teams and provide updates as necessary.  
  • Ability to work with business application owners to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.  
  • Experience in legacy application migration tasks. 
  • Knowledge of docker, Kubernetes containerization concepts.  
  • Document programs, functions, data structures, data flow diagrams and other parts of computer source code and systems development lifecycle. 
  • Experience and or familiar with modern development tools such as: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Retool, Angular 5+, JavaScript, Prime NG, Oracle database, CSS, Maven, Yarn, Web Pack, Eclipse, VS code, SQL Developer.

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8-10 years of related experience required
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Occasional business travel required, Ability to work a non-standard schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed
  • Regular and predictable attendance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
