U.S. Facilities and Operations:


Supporting product sales are a network of nationwide marketing and manufacturing locations. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is home to the U.S. Corporate Headquarters along with the marketing offices of the Hospital, Outpatient Markets (OPM), Renal Therapies, Vascular Interventional, International, and OEM Divisions. Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.(CAPS®) is also managed from this location. The nearby Allentown, Pennsylvania, facility manufactures Needle-free products, IV Safety Catheters, Anesthesia Systems, Introducers, Pharmacy Admixture products. Vascular products including Right Heart Catheters and Interventional Accessories are also manufactured in Allentown. The Irvine, California facility produces IV Solutions, Basic and Specialty Nutrition, Drug Delivery, and BTC products. Infusion Pump Systems are manufactured in Carrollton, Texas and IV administration and IV and Irrigation sets are produced in the Dominican Republic.


Position Summary:

As the product champion for B. Braun’s infusion application software platforms technology, with profit and loss responsibility software and integration services, the Group Product Director, Systems Integration is responsible for day-to-day marketing activities, product planning, product marketing, growth and profitability of infusion software products including DoseTrac, DoseGuard, and DoseLink and clinical and technology consulting services. Develops and manages key relationships with key external technology vendors and partners. Also manages the execution of the short and long-term strategic planning while driving extensive product development and enhancements.  



Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Manage team of marketing professionals supporting infusion systems technology product portfolio
  • Support the development and deployment of an overall infusion platform business strategy
  • Drive business development activities and partnering strategy to develop and close collaborations with technology vendors that are required to maintain a competitive and market leading infusion systems product portfolio
  • Manage and collaborate 3rd party integration partnerships and active projects
    • Drive the development/execution of the clinical and technology consulting services product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
    • Partner and collaborate actively with global cross-functional teams to facilitate the tactical and strategic delivery of business outcomes
  • Promote, market, and monetize analytical software with clinical services, capturing and measuring improved outcomes
  • Develop clinical outcome and health economics support studies used to market and promote the overall infusion platform
  • Work with R&D, IT, project management, and clinical and pharmacy teams in connecting all products into one software platform
  • Accountability for the full product lifecycle of the software support portfolio from new product development to market launch
  • Be forward thinking and stay abreast of the evolving healthcare environment and broader industry trends
  • Oversight of the product lines, including sales support, marketing strategy and tactics and maintenance and support of key relationships with global automated infusion systems marketing
  • Oversee and be responsible for the annual sales and gross profit target for assigned product line portfolio
  • Participate in and collaborate with the sales training group to identify needs, assist in creation and delivery of training on the infusion portfolio as needed.
  • Analyze sales funnel reports to provide monthly forecasts to the purchasing group used to plan inventory needs and purchase and manage customer stock and accessories.
  • Originate, secure approval for and manage all promotional activity for the brands.
  • Provide strategic direction and formulate current and future sustaining marketing strategy for portfolio in the hospital and outpatient markets.
  • Interact with both the Hospital Care and Outpatient Divisional Sales Management in the establishment of goals, strategies and tactics to grow share and revenue in the segment and to develop and enhance the revenue per headcount of each specialty sales force. Collaborate as necessary to respond to long and short term sales challenges and opportunities as the product overseer and product champion.
  • Provide an interaction with key customers in both the hospital and OPM markets, and conduct appropriate visits to customers to determine opportunities, solve problems and gain insight into usage, satisfaction and challenges.
  • Provide input on and manage marketing expense budget for product category.  Identify rational and cost effective promotional mix to drive product sales, customer satisfaction and loyalty and category growth.
  • Create and maintain clinical advisory board comprised of key opinion leaders capable of providing input into product development and tradeshow podium strategy
  • Develop clinical education strategy and offerings in collaboration with key internal and external clinical and technology experts
  • Frequent field interactions with AIS sales personnel and key customers
  • A well-defined customer-focused vision across all of our products and services
  • Aptitude for developing relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical advisers to capture feedback in real time
  • ROI analysis of consulting services and clinical programs
  • Participate in the negotiation and routine assessment and financial review of key contracts
  • Support product demonstrations for connected IV systems, IV-EMR integration and provide technical expertise at conventions/trade shows as assigned.
  • Highly motivated and self-managed individual that can balance multiple projects, support meetings, and oversee and participate in complex technology sales processes to achieve superior results.


Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with the Key end customer segments: Hospital and Outpatient Services.
  • Relevant Clinical Knowledge of IV Therapy, Drugs Used and Basic Needs of Infusion Devices for Pain Management, TPN, Antibiotic and Continuous Infusion Therapy Applications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies, including FDA new drug product approval process/regulatory requirements
  • Proven skills in negotiations, time management, project management, presentations
  • Principles of Marketing, technical product information, product selling/demonstration skills.
  • Office procedures, departmental policies, management theories, base knowledge of U.S. hospital and continuing care markets,
  • Knowledge of mathematical/statistical principles
  • Computer (MS Office – Excel and PowerPoint), calculator, operation of various items within product line, i.e. pumps, stimulators, flow control devices and safety infusion devices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others – written, oral, interpersonal, and public speaking.
  • Analysis of financial reports, negotiation skills, time management, project management, secretarial support supervision, presentation skills, analyze and interpret technical journals, respond to customer inquiries and regulatory agencies, coordinate launch of new products.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc



  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Marketing, Biological Sciences or Health Sciences or a relevant clinical degree.
  • Minimum 8-10 years product marketing experience and/or combination of clinical/nursing.



  • MBA or Heath Informatics degree preferred
  • Detailed industry knowledge and expertise in the field of medical devices, web-based, client server application technology, wireless device connectivity and security, WAN/LAN TCP/IP networks, cybersecurity, relational database management systems, RTLS all around highly integrated, interoperable clinical information systems.
