Position Summary:

Responsible for functioning as a manager, individual contributor, architect and subject matter expert for OT infrastructure required to host and run OT applications directly supporting manufacturing operations. The OT infrastructure manager will build, manage and maintain a variety of technology stacks throughout their lifecycle. Provide OT/IT infrastructure related expertise for the design, development, evaluation, implementation, startup, verification, maintenance, sustainability, and optimization.  Demonstrate IT infrastructure expertise within the OT field while working across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved with capital project life cycles and site operations.


Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Provide Oracle and Microsoft SQL database administration
  • Plan, deploy, manage, and maintain databases in enterprise environments for Oracle 11g/12c and SQL Server 2005, 2008R2, 2012, 2016, 2017 environments
  • Work closely with application developers and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot Oracle/SQL Server based applications
  • Lead engineering and architecture activities related to database performance monitoring & optimization
  • Managing backup and recovery solutions database or object level, data replication for disaster recovery & business continuity
  • Build and manage a disaster recovery plan for database systems, in support of an overall business continuity program.
  • Install, maintain, and implement patching and upgrades of Oracle and SQL Servers.
  • Partner closely with other teams such as OT/ICS Automation, Facilities, Physical Security, Data Analytics and others to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Expert-level knowledge of structured query language (SQL)
  • Administrative knowledge with Red Hat Linux (5, 6) and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with configuration of Virtual Servers
  • Breadth and depth of experience across physical, virtual and database system
  • Manages all aspects of projects for the organization.
  • Coordinates the work activities for multiple functions to ensure satisfying delivery.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution and delivery.
  • Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management.
  • Assists with the selection, negotiation and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors. Must build collaborative relationships.
  • Must have ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills, project scheduling skills and project management skills.

  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.



Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc



  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 10-12 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Occasional business travel required, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed


  • 5+ years of experience supporting OT systems such as MES (PharmaSuite/FTPS, Werum, SIMATIC IT eBR, etc.), DCS (Siemen PCS 7, Rockwell PlantPAx, etc.) BMS/BAS/EMS (Siemens Desigo, Vaisala, etc.), LIMS (LabWare, Beckman, Saphire, etc.), and Wonderware InTouch and System Platform.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
