Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The primary responsibility of a Technician - Material Handler is to stock, organize, and maintain components on the production floor. They must possess an overall knowledge of GMP’s, ISO, and OSHA requirements in the manufacturing environment. This position shall operate in accordance with company policies & procedures, FDA regulations, ISO standards, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations (CMDR) and the Medical Device Directives (MDD).                  

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Assists supervisor to ensure that production operators have sufficient stock of materials.
  • Collects, checks and keeps records of materials flow to and from production area.

 

The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

 

  • Required to apply intermediate working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization.
  • Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action.
  • Performs Intermediate shop floor competencies.

Supervision Given and Received:
Works under general supervision. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning & checking the work of other peers.

 

General:

Contacts/Cooperation:
Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Target Based Range

20.42 plus 10% Shift Differential

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

 

Required:

  • High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required
  • 02-04 years related experience OR PBS requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification required.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.

Problem Solving:
May require some limited judgement in resolving problems

 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
