Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

This position is responsible for managing the supply planning processes and performance monitoring within manufacturing plants and purchased finished goods areas. The Senior Supply Planning Analyst, Corporate Supply Planning will manage cross functional communications and facilitate integration between functions for a forward looking demand and supply planning environment.  For a given value-stream(s), this position will facilitate the PLAN processes (Sales & Operations Planning; Long-range Planning) as well as support the Plan processes/activities within the SOURCE, MAKE and DELIVER processes.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

    • Develops manufacturing requirements via forecasting, buffer management and/or customer’s orders to make the products effectively and efficiently.
    • Responsible to ensure that plant makes product to customer demand, avoid stock outs and maintain the right inventory to service to customer requirements.
    • Ensure consistent, continuous monitoring of manufacturing activity by product code (daily/weekly/monthly reporting of plan vs. actuals) and performance data in the related plants.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing management to develop credible supply response to near term demand plan, and inventory plans which are within demonstrated capacities, budget and inventory targets.
    • Participate in weekly meetings with plant management and identify supply issues, escalate them for resolution, and provide update to sales/marketing in a proactive manner to minimize customer back orders.
    • Communicate proactively to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner regarding current and/or potential future supply performance issues or misalignments (schedule feasibility, capacity imbalances, excess inventory, etc.).
    • Ensure supply plans generate credible master production schedules by identifying and resolving supply/demand imbalances.
    • Establish and use best practices for safety stock calculations, supply planning and inventory target development.
    • Develop long term plans using SAP IBP to identify capacity constraints, providing input in line capacity extension, facility expansion plans.
    • Work with management in the plants to analyze and develop plans and recommendations to address bottlenecks with strong consideration of marketing/sales priorities.
    • Utilize SAP ERP and/or SAP IBP systems to gather and analyze supply chain related processes and data.
    • Prepare and present data analyses and summary presentations to senior management as needed.

 

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to structure and conduct advanced supply chain analyses using Excel in the areas of inventory management, production planning, capacity planning.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills for cross functional meetings with various levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively influence others while serving on cross functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Target Based Range

$69,740 - $87,189

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in supply chain and/or materials management including supply planning, master and detailed scheduling, and procurement in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • High level of proficiency in the use of SAP

 

Desired:

  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Continuing education credits in supply chain related areas
  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications
  • Medical device industry experience
