Position Summary:

 

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Manages programs meant to protect employee health, safety, security and promotes environmental compliance and ensures compliance with applicable international, federal, state or local statues/regulations.
• Responsible for development and of site specific EHS&S programs, procedures, and initiatives to align with corporate goals and EHS regulatory requirements.
• Provides site EHS&S training with assistance from the training department.
• Conducts incident/accident investigations, ensures appropriate investigation of and response to accidents or injuries and manages OSHA logs.
• Leads site EHS&S audits and inspections (ISO, regulatory inspections, internal and external audits).
• Audits facilities or processes to identify weaknesses or risks and proactively develops and implements corrective actions.
• Ensures compliance with applicable international, federal, state or local statues/regulations including OSHA.
• Supports and promotes a culture associated with the ISO Management system.

 

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

• Requires advanced knowledge of professional field and industry. Influences the development of and drives the application of principles, theories, concepts. Determines best course of action.
• Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of peers.
• Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
• Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 06-08 years related experience required.
• Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
• Regular and predictable attendance
