Responsibilities

Job Function - General:

  • Perform system analysis, which includes requirement definition, interfacing with business groups and providing cost benefit analysis.
  • Review, design, plan, implement and manage complex Voice Over IP, traditional and cloud telecommunication systems and services, Telephony contact center.  Provide documentation and project tracking.
  • Review, design, plan, implement and manage IP, cloud based and traditional conferencing systems. Provide documentation and project tracking.
  • Lead new technology evaluations in network communications, phone switches, voice/unified messaging, video, Voice over IP, cloud PBX, call accounting and management, and methodologies.  Identify alternative or new technologies and define telecommunication standards.
  • Define and revise SOPs and system validation plans as required to meet corporate business needs and support the company’s validation requirements.
  • Define, implement and maintain company policies related to telecommunication services.
  • Prepare project status reports to inform management of project progression.  Identify any issues which need to be escalated for resolution.
  • Review service provider invoicing to confirm services, contract pricing and commitment levels.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining capital and operating budget plans.
  • Provides support for any moves, adds, or changes to telephone units, extensions, call features, voicemail, and access codes.
  • Support voice and data telecommunication systems and services, including hardware and software installations, upgrades and maintenance.  Must also coordinate the provisioning installation and termination of communication services.
  • Provide support for network cabling (voice and data.)
  • Work with vendors to perform routine system maintenance of the voice and communication infrastructure systems and maintain conference room AV systems, ensures inter site hardware interoperability, and provides requisite training.
  • Provide escalated user support and monitors system alerts and alarms generated from operational monitoring systems.
  • Develop and coordinate regional and global project efforts.  Serve as project leader on assigned telecommunication projects.
  • Assist with managing the voice services in data centers and disaster recovery and business continuity services.
  • Prepare project status reports to inform management to project progression.  Identify any issues, which need to be escalated for resolution or assistance.
  • Train personnel on use of systems.
  • Apply technical expertise to the implementation, monitoring, or maintenance of IT telephony systems.
  • Involvement in the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and management of technology solutions.
  • Establish a technical vision for complex, enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Interact with IT colleagues and Business stakeholders in problem solving, defining requirements, capacity, and implementing robust, scalable, effective and efficient technology solutions for solving business problems.
  • Provide product focal point and subject matter technical expertise.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Interact with local and global colleagues to ensure solutions follow strategic path goals and objectives.
  • Perform system analysis which includes completing requirement definitions, interfacing with business groups and provide cost and benefit analysis.
  • Review, plan, and implement computer systems. Troubleshoot systems and recommend improvements to the computing environment.
  • Provide documentation and project tracking. Serves as a project leader on assigned projects.
  • Participate in new technology evaluations related to information. Identify alternative or new technologies and assist in defining new global and regional IT standards.
  • Assist Systems Analysts, Network Administrators and the helpdesk, desk-side support group with technical support issues.
  • Coordinate and participate in regional and global project and operational efforts.
  • Define and revise SOPs and system validation plans as required to meet corporate business needs and support the company’s GXP validation requirements.
  • Prepare project status reports to inform management to project progression. Identify any issues, which need to be escalated for resolution or assistance.
  • Provide escalated user support.
  • Monitor system alerts and alarms generated from operational monitoring systems.
  • Monitor activities of and coordinates activities with service providers, partners and vendors for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  The range provided is a reasonable estimate.

 

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Must have excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to define and explain work methods.
  • Extensive experience and strong working knowledge of Cisco Voice Systems and Video conferencing systems including Cisco Unified Communication, Call Manager, Unity and Contact Center systems. 
  • Strong experience working with Cisco networking systems including Cisco Voice Gateways, switches and routers.
  • Experience with SIP Trunk and PRI configurations including failover redundancy for multiple sites.
  • Experience and understanding of enterprise level call flow
  • Experience with implementing Cisco Jabber and Expressway for end user soft phone connectivity is a plus
  • Experience with Audiocode SBC and integration with Cisco Call Manager and Microsoft Teams is a plus
  • Experience supporting Cisco Deskop agent and supervisor agent including Finesse agent
  • Strong knowledge of Local and Wide Area networking fundamentals and
  • Must have strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocol and QoS.
  • Experience with Genesys Contact Center is a plus
  • Scripting experience with contact center system
  • Experience working with monitoring and management systems such as Cisco Prime and ISE.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices including IT security framework.
  • Experience with System and Network monitoring tools (SNMP, Syslog etc)
  • Experience with Cloud PBX technologies a plus
  • Experience with Public Cloud services and related networking architecture a plus
  • Experience working with third party vendors including telecommunication service providers and cabling vendors
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Office365, including Word, Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong project management skills, including excellent organizational, documentation, time management and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows server and client operating systems.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, business groups, customers, contractors, consultants and vendors

  • Must be willing to travel for business including international and work overtime when necessary.

Target Based Range

$102,110 - $127,640

Qualifications

Education and Professional Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

08-10 years related experience required.

Certification:

Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.

Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles, theories, concept. Determines best course of action.
