Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

Under direction of Facility Management, set up and run the daily operations of a CAPS warehouse. Plan manpower levels, schedule daily activities, become involved in any new hire selections, training, and discipline staff when needed in at the direction and under the supervision of Director of Pharmacy/Assistant Director of Pharmacy. Accept incoming orders, deploy staff for all outbound deliveries, ensure daily orders are packed and shipped in accordance with our own scheduled timelines.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Ensure all warehouse workers are trained according to CAPS procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, including material handling, daily raw material needs for cleanroom production, monthly inventory, forklift driving, etc.
  • Assign work to warehouse workers, track productivity of work and ensure all work is complete on a daily basis, and reviews route sheets.
  • Trace and/or research customer deliveries per instructions. Collects packing slips returned post delivery and assess customer receipt timeliness. Follow up via telephone or fax with needed information.
  • Monitor production schedule and adjust Courier service as needed.
  • Ensure all material handling equipment operates properly. Set up maintenance and repair schedule.
  • Assist and participate in purchasing activities such as the monthly inventory of raw materials and supplies, the retention and filing of Certificates of Analysis, and monitoring supplies and inventory for operations.
  • Schedule inbound trucks to unload in a timely manner. Ensure paperwork is accurate and product put away in proper location. Secure Certificates of Analysis for all incoming product and work closely with the QCC on this topic.
  • Record data of monitored equipment and supplies as designated.
  • Process returns and damaged freight as needed.
  • Assist cleanroom staff in scheduling special orders and handling day to day regular orders so that they are on time, complete, packed properly including FedEx Orders and signed off as daily orders on time.
  • Interface with couriers, office personnel and management in response to requests or to ensure service commitments are met.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and organization of the warehouse, office area, and pharmacy vehicle fleet, including appearance, cleanliness, and safety. Assess repair needs and participates in completion of minor maintenance work.
  • Maintains customer relationships.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • General warehousing.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving and trucking procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of CAPS Lance Inventory system, including on-line vendor ordering.
  • General Knowledge of cGMP.
  • Microsoft Office, email and internet.
  • Forklift driving, PC computer operation.
  • Schedule manpower as needed.
  • Able to communication with truck drivers, warehouse staff and management.

Qualifications

Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Certification/Etc:

 

Required:

  • Three years warehouse experience.
  • Forklift driving certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General office skills, telephone and computer skills.
  • cGMP training/experience desired, training will be provided.

Desired:

  • Good communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
