Responsibilities

Position Summary: Senior Accountant for CAPS will work with Finance Management as well as directors of 24 pharmacies, and other cost center managers to ensure the accuracy of revenue, inventory, and expenditures posted in the general ledger.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products, product lines, or business units to track the organization's progress against financial goals.
  • Analyzes expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and Purchase Price Variance (PPV), to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
  • Analyze and update standard costs.
  • Review of monthly inventory balances and cycle counts and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Track capital spending and work with project managers to develop a capital forecast.
  • Assists in the monthly financial close process, including general ledger review, preparation of journal entries, and posting into SAP.
  • Review spending in Production, Admin, QA, and Marketing cost centers and follow up with responsible managers.
  • Preparing monthly financial reports into spreadsheet format and understanding how to tie out manual reports to the general ledger in SAP.
  • Assists in completing templates for financial forecasting.

Provide documentation and follow-up with external financial auditors.

 

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices in the accounting field.
  • Work under minimal supervision and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in training and reviewing of work of peers.
  • Must understand the importance of accuracy in all posting and preparing of financial documents.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Must have Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • BS in Accounting or Finance preferred.

$89,291.00 - $111,611.00

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 06-08 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Valid driver's license and passport, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed
